ABOUT US

'Create a Song' is a service developed by Chronicle, a storytelling organisation based in Suffolk, UK. Since 2015, we have been dedicated to helping people record, preserve, and celebrate their life stories.

Over the years, we have worked with people of all ages and backgrounds to capture their memories and experiences in meaningful ways. From young families to older generations, our projects have helped individuals reflect on their lives and share their stories with those who matter most. Our oldest participant was 101 years old, a reminder that every life story deserves to be heard and preserved.

 

The Create a Song service grew out of this work. We wanted to find a new way for people to connect with one another and celebrate their stories creatively. Turning memories and personal experiences into songs allows people to share emotions, milestones, and moments in a way that is both personal and memorable.

 

Chronicle has also collaborated with a range of respected organisations on community storytelling projects, including Suffolk Archives, local museums, and BT. These partnerships have helped bring together communities through shared history, memories, and voices.

 

Alongside Create a Song, our work has also led to the development of projects such as the Snapshot Memory Box, which was created as part of our ongoing search for simple and meaningful ways to preserve memories. Each piece is thoughtfully designed to combine traditional memory-keeping with modern technology, ensuring that voices and stories can be enjoyed for years to come.

 

From weddings and anniversaries to remembrance and legacy gifts, our work is centred around one simple belief:

Although our projects now reach people internationally, our values remain the same — craftsmanship, care, and a commitment to preserving memories beautifully.
